this morning sickness

is drivig me crazy!!!!! iv tried ginger biscuits and just dont no what to do, im being sick all day its not just in the morning has anyone got any tips :)

I used to nibble on dry crackers. Ginger tea is also supposed to help.

If I'm honest (though you won't want to hear it) I didn't find anything that actually helped.... and mine was "all day" sickness, too :-(

How far are you? I don't think it lasts that long.

too late to say "don't get pregnant in the first place" LOL (sorry!)

Isn't dry toast supposed to help? I thin, if i remember correctly, i luckily never had it, but it does ease off by the time you're in the 2nd trimester.
eat little and often. Try and eat a biscuit and have a drink before you get out of bed.
suck on mints / boiled sweets. There are some lollypops called preggypops or something but you may as well use regular sweets.
try an antisickness wrist band (can be bought from chemists) which works on pressure points on wrist.
if it gets really bad or continues well into the 2nd trimester then mention it to your midwife.
Dry toast in the morning. If you can get your OH to bring it to you before you get out of bed the better.

Also, are you actually being sick, or just the feeling of sickness?
You need to see your midwife if you're vomiting a lot.

Not always....I was sick the whole pregnancy :-(

thanks everyone for ure tips i am being sick all day iv got the doctors tomorrow so im gonna mention it to him but i doubt theres anything hes gonna be able to do
Ah. I was just about to say it should stop soon enough... until I read nudgescuffler's comment. Oh dear, lets hope you're not one of the unlucky ones!

If you're actually being sick, and after everything you eat, I would strongly suggest you see your midwife. Your baby can't be getting much nutrition. Poor you :-(

When I read the title I though you ment the television prog and were sick of it ...
hi bondgirl, i was nauseous and sick on my first pregnancy and didn't cope well at all (tried ginger, eating small amounts often) etc but nothing much worked and I was physically sick morning, noon and night until 21 weeks. it stopped for a while, then came back again at 36 weeks!

second time around (I'm 11 weeks gone) i've got the same nausea and vomitting (boo!) although I do seem to be coping with it better this time.

tips include: avoid fatty foods, dairy foods, sweet stuff, and rich or highly flavoured foods as these are more likely to make you throw up.

suck on sour/bitter hard boiled sweets like lemon drops (don't bother buying the expensive preggypops as they don't work any better and cost the earth!) as the constant swallowing helps combat some of the nausea.

I've also found wearing 'fat pants' or spanx really good as the tightness (make sure they are not too tight) around the tummy helps ease some of the queasiness. I'm definitely worse on the days I don't wear the pants than on the days I do.

try and eat a piece of toast or crackers before getting out of bed, and when you do get up, don't move too quickly or you'll throw up.

otherwise, congrats on the pregnancy and fingers crossed it will ease for you when the placenta kicks in around 13 weeks.
Spanx, when preggers? Surely that's not advisable?
Sorry, was meant to add, you can get "pregnancy belts", which I would imagine would do the same.
My daughter nibbled crystallised ginger when she was pregnant, and found that very helpful
ditto redcrx. Hope it's just mornings.
