I'm after an uncommon baby name for boys and girls as im not sure what the sex is yet.

Originally i had Bella for a girl, but this is on the rise after the Twilight films.

My partner likes mack for a boy, but i'm not too sure.

What are your suggestions?

I like Matilda and Isaac - Keep them coming :-)
My son is expecting his first child in mid-July. I'm trying to persuade them towards Isaac.

They are going for Scarlett Georgina or Darcy Georgina for a girl.
if you want to put him off Mack... just look up the film Mac and Me!!
Aaah just seen redhelen's post and now my mind's wandered to Scarlett! Mmmmmm

I think Elias is a cool name for a boy, if you do chose it though, don't be making it popular before I have to start thinking about stuff like that!
I was going to choose Elia if I had a girl and Elijah for a boy. My family didn't like the name Elijah so I chose Lukas (with a K) instead. I love the name Elijah though.
Erica for a girl, Samuel (Sam) for a boy.
i had Sabina and Alice as names for my first.
Luka?

Mmmm helen - that's who I was thinking of !
A name should be chosen with the greatest of care as the child has to live with it for the rest of his life. It should not be the subject of some passing whim of the parents.

We have a little 8 month old baby here at the surgery called Gladys. Bless her.... Somehow I don't think she'll appreciate it when she's older.

Grace and Lily are always beautiful names for a little girl. Not so uncommon anymore - but still classics.

I like Luka very much.
My daughter is called Lyla, so think they'd match nicely. :-)
There's a great Roald Dahl book called Matilda, which adds to the name's attraction.

I had two boys but would have called a daughter "Sophia Grace" ...

What works also depends on your surname of course. Always check initial acronyms (a mate of mine was KGB, a relative has "VD", etc.) and what it sounds like if you say it fast ("Chris Peacock"), initial then surname ("D Soul", fine, "R Soul", not so) or last name first name ("Bond, James" is fine but "Bond, Ed" is not so good)...
Sci Fi? What - sallabananas or my 'real' name?
