awwwwww, love the name Grace (im not pregnant, but i think id chose it!!!!) how about having grace as a middle name, something like Ella Grace, but using grace as her name?
I love the name Grace, but I was wary of using that. I had the fear of saddling a child with that name and the poor mite turned out to be an overweight heffalump.
what names did you go with boo?
well if she'd been a boy we were going to call her Samuel Thomas, but she turned out to be a girl who we named Georgia Mary. I know the Mary bit is old fashioned but both out grandparents were called that.

I also loved the name Poppy, but whilst adorable on a baby and toddler, I couldn't help but think of her at 30odd called that and it somehow didn't seem as cute!
As ive said, im not pregnant, just sad, but i already have ideas for when i have kids!! My other half is 4th generation Michael so he wants to carry that on if we have a boy (although i wouldve chosen John - im with you on the traditional names)
i love your choice of names i think old fashion names are lovely, my daughter is charlotte faye
My goddaughter is called Grace Lily Isabelle. So pretty.. and so is she.

What about Alexander Joseph? Or Alexander Daniel?

I like Matilda Annie for a girl, or Phoebe Sunshine.. but I did actually give my children quite sensible names.
Cant stand these new names kids have got these days, like Shakira (my sister, a teacher, had 3 in her class last year!)
lb- no, I can't stand "new names" like that. Whenever I hear them, the snob in me rushes to the fore and I automatically think "Chav!"
god help me if i ever have a girl, i already have a long list of possibles! Grace, Ella (after my nan), Francesca (shorted to Fran), Hannah, Ruth, Naomi - bit of a biblical theme here!
i love the new style of naming the baby after where he/she was concieved!
Theres bound to be a child somewhere called Blackpool
I must dash phonebox pete wants his dinner ........
Did I ever tell you my brother's name is Triumph Herald?
Dave for short.
so does my other child caravan in devon
My daughter is called Erin Grace.
My daughter is called Stephanie but could have been Tent

I'm having a baby boy, so looking now for boys names we liek Alex or Alexander (not sure which) but wil be caleld Alex so need a middle name for him
Do you have a maiden or family name that you could use? - Alexander or Alex is a strong name, so I think that you need something quite stong to go with it and sometimes a surname fits the bill.

I like something like Kerr or Keir or Grant or Stewart or Austin- its a bit difficult without the surname, but appreciate that you may not wish to put that on here.
Doh! Sorry just noticed that the surname will be Banks - as this is a short surname, I would be tempted to keep the name long and then he has the option.

Alexander Austin Banks

you could also shorten it to Xander

Xander Joe Banks

or

Alex Stewart Banks
