I have a 5 month old baby and on a typical day, she would have 5 7oz feeds, the only one during the night is at 10pm, which I generally had to wake her up for...

I have recently introduced baby rice with her afternoon bottle (Which she absolutly loves, and has taken to straight away) however, when I have been waking her up for her feed at 10 o'clock, she has not taken a singe ounce of it, I have also tried to wake her at different points during the night to see if she wants it then, but she just has a winge and goes back to sleep. I have also tried to give her 6oz bottles through the day, but that just leaves her hungry for more... Her last bottle is at 7pm and her first morning bottle is at 6am, is this too long to leave her through the night without a feed and should I take her off the rice to see if that helps?

leave her be, and let her sleep.
babies drop feeds as they grown and start to take more solids. Let her sleep from 7-6 and dont wake her. she doesnt need the feed and its best to let her sleep.
Red's right don't bother waking her, she would wake if she wanted it. My daughter used to sleep through the night with no feed from 5 weeks old, the sleep was good for both of us so I left her to it!

Thanks guys... "I'm a first time mum" and everone said from the beginning "Prepare yourself for sleepless nights" and I just haven't had them (Touch wood) so I was thinking that it was too good to be true!! I was a bit worried that she may not be getting enough, but I suppose if she were hungry she'd let me know! Thank you again :)
we all go through it. you just have to follow instincts and her guide. never disturb a sleeping baby :) use the time to rest yourself.
No point in you waking every few hours in the night when shes sleeping through
I can only echo what others say, definitely don't wake her and enjoy how lucky you are! My baby is 4 months and unlike my daughter was he still wakes several times in the night for the dreaded dummy! He too never wanted feeding though until morning, then his tummy would be rumbling like mad! Don't stop the baby rice either, your baby is obviously very satisfied and relaxed with what she is getting and therefore sleeps wonderfully. I long for the day when my baby does the same!
I can't believe u have to wake the baby for food and that you were lol

U are very lucky that your baby sleeps through. Don't wake her and enjoy it. Mine's 14 month and she still gets up in the night. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones :-)
Wow! I breastfed all my 3 for a total of 10 years and never weighed a thing, and they were all fine. Just look at your baby. If he or she looks healthy and happy, delight in that and enjoy your time together.
if your baby is sleeping through the night then you have no need to worry, its a good thing and means she is getting a good nights sleep and so can you! like others say you never need to wake a sleeping baby, i have heard of people waking them up at 10pm so they go through the night but i personally would never do that, they sleep through anyway if they are contented. Its ok to start some baby rice but there is no rush with solids if she is only 5 mths, they do not really need any solids until 6mths and then milk is still the most important until they are about 9/10mths. if she is hungry just increase the milk in the day instead of giving solids, 5 feeds sounds about right but if she wants more then give it until shes full.
Its so much easier to wean if you wait until they are sitting up in the highchair and can feed themselves with their fingers, just soft fruit or cooked veg to start. It saves a lot of work from pureeing and baby loves it!
