I have a 3 week old baby (9lb 140z), bottle fed on SMA Gold. Unable to fill baby and frequent dirty nappies, health visitor advised SMA white. Baby still feeding regular but still having very frequent dirty nappies especially after each feed, baby doesn't seem to be holding in any feeds and always seems hungry. Happy and content in herself. Any advice please. Health visitor calling tomorrow but would appreciate any help.

by the sounds of it, the SMA gold isnt agreeing with your baby. It may be too rich for him/her.

When my daughter was 10 months, we took her on holiday and run out of formula. We found one similar and it gave her diarrohea and she was sick a lot.

Babies to tend to poo a lot first of all, as their bodies get used to food but Im sure it should have settled within 3 weeks.

Im sorry I cant help more.
Im sure there is nothing to worry about, i have 3 children under the age of 4 and have experienced similer problems myself have you tried giving cooled boiled water inbetween feeds it could be that your baby is a little bit dehydrated. This also helps younger babies bowls function. It must be worth a try anyway.
