We have loads of Doves in Devon, always in our garden, I even watched a sparrow hawk attack and bring one down in the garden!! Amazing

oh my i have never seen on in my 23 years of living , i thought they must be becomming extinct xcheers
you'll hardly see a baby one, cos they don't leave the nest untill they look very much like adults
They're quite common in the western United States. They're eifinitely not endangered, as you could hunt them in the Fall. They're tasty, but it takes a lot of them to make a meal.
Just wondered, did you know that all Pigeons are Doves, all varieties, including the pure white ones, which I think are the ones you mean, are descended from Rock Doves, so whenever you see a pigeon, your seeing a dove..
we have two or three that come in the garden regularly for food, together with the wood pigeons. We used to have some pure white ones years ago, but dont know what happened to them. Are you kiddin us, as I cant believe you havnt seen one!!

get pigeons as well- both stock and wood pigeons. Plus loads of domestic doves as well as wild collared doves. No turtle doves though- have to wait for the summer months for them and when I visit the reserve I warden on near Oxford.
