Does anyone know anything about a short live-action film of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" where every time the song was repeated, the girl concerned was getting all the gifts all over again every time, so she ended up with a yard full of hens, swans, doves etc and chains hanging all over her made of the gold rings, plus crowds of people dancing, leaping, drumming and so on! I think it was originally French, and it came on TV briefly a few years back.

They used to show it on Christmas morning around the 1970s - I have not seen it for years now. It is called "ON the twelfth day". It was British and was made in 1955 - directed by Wendy Toye. It is here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0048447/ but wrongly listed as beinghttp://www.britmovie.co.uk/genres/comedy/filmography01/079.html black and white. Proved wrong by the colour still on here http://www.britmovie.co.uk/genres/comedy/filmo graphy01/079.html I hope this helps
