If I cancel a home contents insurance policy , will I be refunded the Insurance Premium Tax element of the premium .
My insurance documentation seems to suggest that I will not be refunded the IPT element of the premium

The insured address is in England
( incidentally the policy has only just been renewed )

No you won't.
I think it depends on your insurer. I work for an insurance company and we refund the IPT element .
