yep 6 months.
6 mo
get a move on: the banks love an excuse not to process them
In theory it is 6 months, in reality due to so much automation they will most likely be paid. The Banks cover themselves by saying they 'reserve the right' to pay cheques over 6 months old.
Most 6 months, some 12. May well say on the cheque.
Present it promptly then - - most banks charge for rejecting cheques (and most payers charge for issuing another).
If you bank online you can do it that way
So long as its not one you paidin before using a picture of the cheque on your banking app
they will most likely be paid.
I have had a few duds when I tried to sneak them in

like train tickets, Banks love kicking olds, infirm, *** in the arriss and run away laughing

whilst we wave sticks and shout 'we fed your children you know!'
Were you a wet nurse earlier in your career, Peter?
