I was due to sign and complete on a small business (shop), the very morning, the owner changed his mind and pulled out. I have since lost a considerable amount of money, eg. solicitor's fees and am left with a few K worth of stock, which is useless to me.

No-one signed anything, but I assumed the owner's word, was good.

Can I claim for anything at all ?
