Onwards and Downwards Continues in April
Sorry we are a bit late this month busy, busy, busy!
I have noticed quite a few new members over the last couple of months so welcome to you all and we are glad to have you here to help and be helped:
JimJools, maggibee, notafish, daffy654, lillymoon, jules001, spotit3 and maidup
if I have missed anyone I apologise.
As the days are getting longer and warmer does anyone find it a bit easier to be good and eat more fruit and veg and not pile up on the stodgy food that is so tempting in the winter months?

I have been overweight most of my life but since becoming immobile because of my ankle problems it has just gone up and up and I was at my heaviest when I started. Still want to lose at least another 4 - 5 stone so a long way to go.
Hi everyone and sorry for setting the cat amongst the pigeions with the marg and the jam! I know that spotit3 was a keen baker before she started her weight loss programme and finds the sweet things the hardest to resist. I was suggesting rice cakes as an alternative to buns, cakes and biscuits because it works for me. I have a scraping of low fat dairy free spread and the tiniest dot of jam to releive the sweet tooth when its at its worse.
Sorry I didn't mean to suggest marg and jam without quantifying it. I'll start another thread which you might all give us a hand with.
As for me i have stayed the same this week. No loss and no gain, but happy with that as the cold weekend has kept me indoors for the last few days. I did resist the Easter Eggs and kept to low fat meals, but apart form a bit of gardening on friday, I did virtually no exercise over the Easter break. I was back to work today and went for a short walk at lunchtime. Its still my biggest challenge.
Congratulations to Jan - I have a long way to go too and you are an inspiration. Onwards and Downwards everyone.

Hi Maidup had a look through your thread yes some good ideas but the choc banannas well off my list . If you are looking for a low fat cheese triangles Laughing Cow do a extra low one.
Jan you have done very well but watch the boiled eggs very high in carbs. I limit myself to 3 a week or 4 at the most but you seem to be doing ok so just a point .
Spotit I myself know it is fatal to miss a weeks weigh so I hope you will be ok for next weeks weigh. Having someone dear being ill can certainly put you off track .I hope things will keep improving with your sister. Onwards and Downwards for next week.

Thanks wendilla and xstitcher. I would have been going to Zumba again, but with having to take OH bike in for repair first thing, I will have to miss it today, so Im going for a nice long beach walk before doing my shopping. I do love walking, especially on a nice morning like this ( at the moment )

"trace", apparently. Not that I keep count of carbohydrates anyway.
