Onwards and Downwards Continues in April

Sorry we are a bit late this month busy, busy, busy!

I have noticed quite a few new members over the last couple of months so welcome to you all and we are glad to have you here to help and be helped:

JimJools, maggibee, notafish, daffy654, lillymoon, jules001, spotit3 and maidup

if I have missed anyone I apologise.

As the days are getting longer and warmer does anyone find it a bit easier to be good and eat more fruit and veg and not pile up on the stodgy food that is so tempting in the winter months?

Here is last months thread

Only lost one and a half pounds this week but at least it is in the right direction. Daughter coming to stay this weekend so hope she does not lead me astray.
One and ½ pounds is a good loss. You don't want to loose too quickly because then it comes back quickly. Well done you !
I've been to the supermarket this evening to stock up on healthy options for the weekend. I can't stop and read all the packets when OH is with me so I took timeon my own this evening and bought a few new things. I found the melba toast as an alternative to bread to have either with eggs or soup. I also bought some Krispbreads for the same use.

In the fridges I found a three bean salad and a cous cous and feta salad which will ring the changes with the traditonal salad items. And I bought a huge tub of fat free fromage frais which I can't stop dipping into now! Still better to dip into that than chocolate or the biscuit tin.

I'll do the normal shop too for fruit, veg and staples but feel a bit better prepared now with some less than 50 cal treats.
Well done Maidup. I have done an online shop this evening and have resisted the temptation to order any alcohol or chocolate. Glad I can't walk around a supermarket or I don't think I could resist.

Well done too TOH, it may only be a pound and a half but it's in the right direction.
Im late this week....I havent been too well today (poor me) Must go to bed soon, I lost a pound this week and no excersise today either. Hopefully I will feel more up to it tomorrow.

Well done everyone....x
Hi everyone,

Bad news I'm afraid :o( I fell off the food wagon some time ago and I can't seem to get back on track. I have put on some weight (too ashamed to say how much) so I've started walking home from work every night. Its around 4 miles so I'm hoping it will have an effect soon. I am also eating more salads now so that will help as well.

I'll report back when I've achieved something x
Hi Tigger, you can join me on the naughty step this week. I know you will be able to get back on track. You have been with us for a long time and that in itself shows determination. We all fall by the wayside now and then so please don't stay away from us because of that. It is just now that you need our support.....onwards and downwards we go
Morning xstitcher and everyone

I can jump off the naughty step this week. Ive lost 2lbs. I knew I had been good but didnt know Id been THAT good. You just never know from week to week do you, but as long as you can stay a little bit in control, it helps. Im going out to dinner Friday night but dont want to put it back on.

Well done to anyone whose lost this week too. Dont worry tigger you will get back there.

Have a GOOD easter everyone, if Im not back on here before then :>)
Bakers dozen I always tell people off when they say ONLY. That is a good weight loss and well done.

Maidup I am not quite sure about the Melba toasts .I know I used to use them a lot till I found the French toast which I can only get at Tescos.

Lilymoon well done and hope you feel better soon.

Tigger please don't wait till you have achieved something to report before coming back .It also helps to report that we have gained as it helps us to rectify it .As Xstitcher siad you have been with us a long time and coming back to us is the first step.

Well done THEotherhalf. I went out for dinner last night so I have a bit of rectifying to do for next wednesday.

Good luck all for next week all . Onwards and Downwaeds.
Oh Jan you did make me laugh with your remark about OG's scales. They must be the most complicated scales in the UK.
Well done with your loss and planned treats over Easter....stick with it girl !!
Don't dispair Tigger that's what we're here for to support each other when we need it most. Have a good Easter and enjoy your salads. Onwards and Downwards.
I always feel invisible on AB, so it was nice to have a mention from the Ab Editor, even if he/she thinks I am a new member to the Onwards and Downwards threads, when I have actually been here quite a while, but at least I got noticed yaay!

Just 1/4lb this week, but at least it is in the right direction. Well done to everyone else that lost. Tiggerblue, I was in the same situation as you having fell of the food wagon, but keep persevering, it will all click back into place - you can do it.
well done Jules. Going the right way. We all have our moments. Im sorry if I dont always see your posts. Im afraid Im usually too busy to look back on them all sometimes so just look at the last few. You will never be invisable to us unless you lose so much weight that we wont be able to see you - LOL
Well done Jools....I have just fallen off in grand style.....nuff said about that.
I wish I was invisable at the moment Jules. Im sure wendilla is following me to watch what I eat.
We went for a lovely meal and bottle of wine last night and this mornings scales showed I had put on but I will get it off again before SW on wednesday. No easter eggs for me tomorrow ( wendilla knows Ive already eaten mine )

Have a great easter everyone
Lol I am off to asda now to get the grandkids eggs. Dare not buy them before in case I sample them. I have no room to talk this week been out twice for meals and doing Family dinner on Sunday so I will def be on the naughty step.
Hello Everybody, It seems that I am not alone in finding March a very difficult month...much worse than Christmas and I don't mean chocolate (don't like it) Anyhow misery loves company and I seem to have a lot of the latter at the moment. Have a Happy Easter eveyone and keep on posting...oh lordie I sound like Brucie!!
Hi everyone and Happy Easter. Its not so easy being at home, I find it easier to eat less when I'm out and about or at work. But although I haven't had any cakes, biscuits or chocolate(yet) I have had bread two days running.

Plus the miserable weather isn't doing much for my activity plan! I spent some time gardening yesterday and have cracked on with housework and shopping today, but not much other exercise. Never mind tomorrows another day and the fridge is full of salad and vegetables. Onwards and Downwards.
Maidup don't give up this is a very difficult time with all this miserable weather. I started doing loads in the garden and walking out more 2 weeks ago then the weather changed and it was back to miserable weather and cold. I have not had a good week 2 times out for dinner and big family dinner tomorrow. But I will pick myself up next week and get back to healthy eating. Chin up I know how you feel. Onwards and Downwards to Wednesday.
I am enjoying lovely weather and all I can think about is food, so don't blame the weather lol. Down here I get English TV and there are so many more food adverts than I am used to at home......I am wondering if they are the reason for my hunger all day long.....well not hunger really.....just longing for food.
