My Mate likes this bloke and I obtained his number :-) How does she find out if he's single without actually asking him?

no they arent :-( I did wonder if I Should put it on chatterbank this morning then had second thoughts incase anyone came on saying there is a relationship section, and now nothing!! Well thank you for answering and what a brilliant idea. I just told her to start chatting and ask if he�s up to much this weekend, then if he said no maybe say �not taking you woman out for valentines??� or does that sound desperate

Ask him what he has got his girlfriend for valentine's day?
If I am out and I see a fella I like (and after a few vodka's! lol) I ask them where their girlfriend is and hope to get the response that he doesn't have a girlfriend.

that may be a bit early to ask that eash. My mate keeps seeing him around town and had told me she liked him, I obtained his number and lastnight got her phone and put 'Hi I keep seeing you around and remembered you gave me your number in the pub a few weeks back (hey he was drunk he wouldnt know if he hadnt) just thought I'd txt, Hope you're ok' Luckily he did remember her and put back txt anytime, dont be a stranger but know she needs to know if he's single. She's very shy

I'd just ask point blank. Probably phrase it along the lines of 'Just wondered if you were free and single if you fancied meeting up for a coffee or a cocktail' and leave it at that. I can't be ar5ed with all that fannying around and it gives a quick answer and no one looks a prat. Everyone likes to be thought attractive so no harm, no foul and best of all, no fuss.

Definitely with China on that one - need to ask, although to be fair, If she's really shy I wouldn't do it straight away. I'd assume that he's single if he's returning her texts, then when she knows him a little better and it isn't so worried, slip it into conversation - definitely before she met up with him!

yes but thats you china, I would aswell but she is so shy she darent. But doesnt matter anyway now as he asked her out for a drink on valentines. :-)
