Evening,
Not being quiet, have literally just got my laptop re-installed after it crashed on me this morning. Am back on line! :).

I have a friend who is my age and is dating a 19 year old. (i'm 29 btw :)). they get on really well so I think age gaps are fine as long as both partners realise the differences and are happy with them.

I have to be mature because of my job but I love letting my hair down and being immature once in a while. Keeps you from feeling dead too soon.
Question Author
Oh I agree with you... mature shouldn't mean boring... but I have been out with a 20 year old and a 21 year old in the last couple of years and 1 was very naive (but lovely); the other woman was more of an adult in her outlook. It does depend on the person rather than the respective ages I think.

Ken - the 29 year old is the man? Or am I assuming wrongly?

Oh god! Yes, Valentine's Day is coming up again... close the curtains and take the phone off the hook!
...and with the curtains closed lets get together williaid....!
Question Author
lol ok hun... tell me where and when!
Where would you like?
Afternoon peeps. Hope everyone is well. :)

It is the male who is 29. I think that women are mature than guys so it tends to work out better with that scenario.

Speaking of Mature being fun. Went to a nintendo Wii party last night at my mate's house.
I was the youngest one there and I've never seen so many serious people getting so mashed and having such a good time waving plastic games controllers around. :)

Yes, Valentine's day is approaching. What are my fellow singletons doing for the evening?
One slight benefit of being single at this time is the cost you save on cars, roses, pressies etc. I decided to treat myself to a day's off roading down at Silverstone with the money I would have spent.
I'd say now. Behind the bikesheds of AB (if they have bikesheds, lol) and you can seduce me with your welsh accent.. maybe that'll be a bit cold, so your place Williaid?
;-) xx
And, back to the original question; define the woman of your dreams... :)
Question Author
Behind the bike sheds hey... my house would be equally inviting... and yes maybe a bit warmer...

Woman of my dreams? Someone who I can be myself with, share some interests with and who is as keen on me as I am on her... Someone who is confident but not too loud... She has a sense of humour which my jokes will test!

I am up to not much I think on Valentine's Day... all those lovey dovey couples... keep out of the way of them!

Come on ladies... Ken would spend the equivalent of an off roading course on you for Valentine's if he was going out with you!! How generous is that man!! I don't know why he is single...
Neither do I williaid. :).

Unfortunately, and my friends often rib me about this, I am an incurable romantic and would often pull out all the stops for girlfriends.

Woman of my dreams.......
Someone with English Rose looks, not stick thin.
An independent lass but who doesn't mind being close to someone.
Someone who doesn't mind being doted on (not stalked, just doted :))
Oh, they must be able to put up with / enjoy a good sense of humour. Life is too short not to spend as much of it laughing as you can. :)

I have had one Valentine's card!! Lost, you shouldn't have...

Well you sound lovely Ken, and we still don't know any secret of wooing... Was reading a women's mag at work, and somebody had written in about a bf who was always insulting her and what she should do... This is the problem... they will settle for second best! Whereas we won't...

Anyway, I have put cones outside the for artic to park save them lugging all those envelopes around...
Happy Valentines for tomorrow people! Williaid, i think i have competition!x
Question Author
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Best wishes to Ken, Lost and anyone else who wants to post on this question!
Well, good evening everyone and Happy Valentine's day!

was on site at a customer in Leeds with a 30 strong customer service department. (90% women am afraid). The place looked like a florists by the end of the day. hehe.

I hope anyone who has a partner had a lovely day and is enjoying the night and is not actually on line at the moment. :)

The rest of us. I hope you have enjoyed the day in your own way and that you have found your own little piece of happiness.
Question Author
No am not happy at all.. ;) Sent a Valentine's card with my number on to someone I know to say hello to and I thought there was an attraction with.. still waiting for the call or text...

Hmm... people keep telling me her loss, but I am fed up with it being their loss...

Sorry Lost, but I think I need to keep my options open... after all, bike sheds are usually not a first date... only on a second date.. and I waited there for ages holding my Chopper so it didn't look too suspicious... Raleigh Chopper... Where were you?
my car wouldnt start so i had to bike to work... and thus could not bike over to AB in time... i didn't receive any valentines cards.. NOT ONE! tut, and people at work were so frustrating with their voices squeeking with excitement over their anonymously sent flowers, pink balloons and chocolates.. so uncool, lol. hope you're all well :) x
My post box was also dissappointingly empty, well apart from some bills. No kisses on those.

Sorry to hear about your card / number situation Willi. Sucks when people say 'their loss' doesn't it? Does nothing for morale.

What is everyone doing this weekend? Anyone going on the pull? :). If you are, good luck, keep us posted.
Question Author
Aw Lost, I would have picked you up in the car... let me know when there will be a next time... And I know it is so annoying when people get stuff and you don't...

Thanks, Ken... Thought there was an attraction there, and was hoping that she would contact me... Yes, she could be shy but doesn't take much balls to at least text back... I am a bit shy, but I posted the card through the door where she works (ok, so it was in the dark) with my number on.

Their loss... doesn't make me feel any better anyway... I agree to a point but is still a blow when you get turned down for the umpteenth time...

I am in work tomorrow and off to Lancashire to see my mum for her birthday on Sunday... Hope you two are up to something exciting as well lol

Do Cosmo and Starry want to join in this conversation or are we happy with the threesome?
Question Author
this is why i am single... people get bored of me :'(

ken, loststar where are you?
Good evening Williaid.

Don't worry, we're not ignoring you. :).
Have been uber busy. Am in the process of joining the RAF Reserves and have been busy training for that.

Don't they say that girls like a man in uniform? :)

I presume that no-one has had much / any joy since the thread started? Well, chin up everyone. You never know when you'll meet the woman / man of your dreams.
S*d's law though that it will probably be after I've just ran about 10k and am sweating like a pig. hehe.
