I find soup very good for colds, I tend to have chicken noodle soup.

lots of hot warming drinks, I tend to take a paracetamol if I have a headache as well.
I find Day Nurse very good. Olbas oil can be good on a tissue to help decongest.

Those Cool and Soothe type pads you put on your head are great though you might look a bit daft at work.

I also love hot juice (cordial), find it really soothing.

Lots of fresh air too, keep up the fluids, get as much sleep as possible outside of work.
Lots of fresh chillies - the hotter the better.
Beechams powders, sometimes cold remedies make you drowsy. Warm blackcurrent juice, in fact warm drinks and paracetamol.
elderberry cordial or ginger and lemon with honey made with hot water.. and paracetamol... olbas oil on a tissue but don't sniff it too often... and I just pick on fruit the rest of the time
Lemsip when you have a cold.

Regular vitamin C and zinc before you catch one, to bolster your immune system.
Paracetamol to lower your temperature, echinacea, vitamin C and Zinc to counteract the symptoms, and I find that a drink made with a squeeze of lemon juice, spoonful of honey and topped up with boiled water soothes my throat and makes me feel better
