Will he get addicted?

My friend bought a lottery ticket on his birthday and said that was the only one he will ever buy, so that he doesn't get addicted. . . . . . he's now bought another. Plus he's always saying how he's got no money, and will probably lie and say he lives with his dad most of the time, just to get £10 every two weeks.

Yeah but mum only spends it on herself and about a £10 for my birthday and another for christmas.

He kind of already is but it seems babyish to say that, but I have two other really close friends who i've known for years.
