So having picked up brake lights for my car at lunchtime, I decided to come home and try to change them myself...

Found the manual, opened the boot.... took off the screw covers and undid the screws that need to bee taken out, and then it says remove the light cover by pulling it to the rear from the outside.

Do you think it will come off!? No! It is loose and most of it undone, but wont come away completely.

Wanted to do it by myself so my OH didnt have to when he got in from work, but can't, and now feel eugh about it, so have come in to have a pint!

This is certainly not a light situation which you have got into.

Ha ha stewey, very good!

I even risked damaging the new set of nails I had put on yesterday to do it! :-(
Wiggal, I thought you said the fixture was attached by screws; where do the nails come in?
I bet there is one more screw that you haven't undone.

Well it says in the manual there are 2 screws, and they are big once that you undo with a twiddly thing on the end of them, not a screw driver, and I took both of them off!

Although with my car nothing is easy, they tell you to take the car in to the garage just to get the headlights changed because it is so difficult to do yourself.
And they don't make a Haynes manual for it either!
Are there wing nuts holding it on ....
thats alright wigggle just wait until the missus comes home she will fix it for you
You probably need to wiggal it a bit.
