what are the Statutory regulations for aromatherpy, reflexology and acupuncture

i don't think their are any laws as such relating to these activities
all people offering these services should be trained and registered and hold insurance if they are practising..i have herbalist qualifications but not to diagnose just to prepare and distribute..to patients..lots of people say they are aromatherapists after doing a short night class,,,this is not so as they need to be registered..anyone doing accupuncture definately needs qualifications and also a hygiene certificate..their are lots of frauds around people proffessing to know it all just to benefit financially,,anyone using these therapists should ask to see their insurance certificates and also check where they are registered..
but these are not Statutory regulations - this is rather a benchmark for good practice that not all subscribe to are there is no offical / required to practice register of aromatherapist etc you or i could just make it up as we go along and the law would have no ability to stop us - until we hurt someone at which point a civil action could be taken rather than a criminal one a presume... statutory regs do not over these proffessions as such

Hay thanks for your answers. I am a trained holistic therapist my self i don�t practice though haven�t confident enough. I just needed sum help with sum coarse work i was struggling with that question n i guess its cause there isn�t really any and any one can set up practice so wrong but hay. Anyway thanks for your help. angel2005
