My dad told us that he wanted to be buried in his garden when he died. My brother told him that would mean that we would take longer to sell the property and get our inheritance. Dad smiled.

We threw his ashes in a loch instead.
you made me smile mamyalynne

if you are buried in your own garden, it does not affect the selling of the property. it does however mean that the burial site is added to the house deeds / plans etc to save any possible unintentional exhumation !
sorry missed new page night night zig zag and all

And you mamya...now go away you`re making me well up
the chain will surely link again
Yes - but I wouldn't buy a house with somebody's dad buried under the front lawn?

I've heard that one, too mamy! Still puts a lump in my throat, tho!
what the ****!!

what's going on 'ere?

name's not norman bates,m8ty, is it?
it does indeed and my youngest daughter his baby read it at the grave side and all the grandchildren blew bubbles, so sorry cumbrianlad am sure you didnt want the thread to go this way.
Someone earlier asked about cancer pain and i could not revisit that so apologies again.

cumbrainlad - after reading your thread fully this morning, i must apologise for my comments last night, which i only meant in jest, cause it sounded such a morbid question to ask. i was slightly under the influence, as out last night at my weekly p quiz, - fine now, so sorry m8 and i look forward to chatting with you again on other threads!!
al the best ian :0)
What about the women (and perhaps some men!!) who have had breast implants, I don't think they will decay so quickly - I bet some men would like to be laid to rest on a set of breast implants - the mind boggles !!!!
I don't think having someone buried in your garden would be a good sell point !!

How would the estate agent's details read:
3 bedrooms
1 living room
1 dining room
1 kitchen
1 bathroom/toilet
Front Garden
Back Garden - mostly laid to lawn, patio, shed , dead body -
vendor is leaving contents of garden - body optional !

Joking aside - when my sister-in-law died - she was cremated and her ashed are in my other sister-in-law's garden, she bought one of those arbors to put over it.
Mind you when she moved, she did dig her up and take her with them.
