 DID THAT HELP ?
Hi puddicat,
I read in today's Metro newspaper about a guy who had a fear of speed cameras!
I don't exactly have vertigo or fear of heights as such, but I do get the urge to jump off any bridges, ledges, high balconies etc. Not because I have any suicidal urges, I just know I shouldn't (because it really could be quite dangerous & could hurt me, or worse).
I have a friend who is scared of cheese and one who is scared of cotton wool!

Dont have to justify myself to you,not interested in your rantings!!!
Question Author
sacha have heard of the cotton wool one before, and someone had a fear of cardboard!!!
I can understand mannequins being a bit scary and toilets with germs and all but There was one in our local paper yesterday who has had to have counselling to get over his fear of yellow speed camera boxes. lol
My mum has phobia of cotton wool its quite common
salla...me too. When I was a child, my grandparents took me to the Pantomime at Xmas, we always had front seats in the circle and I had the urge to jump over the balcony into the stalls below. LOL Never did though.
Golliwogs, clowns and human bodies with animal heads (Rupert bear included). Oh, and people with masks, especially when they are on stilts!!
I have a fear of clowns and anything dressed up. Also santa is scary I will always walk round the shop the long way to avoid him.
I know sqad - (BTW - I thought you'd gone shopping...!) When I went to the Cardiff Millennium Stadium for the rugby last year, the whole experience was great, but we were quite high up in the stands & it took me half an hour before I got over the urge to just launch myself into the crowd below.

Mind you... if I landed in the scrum... it might be worth risking the odd broken digit ;-)
I have a fear of wooden piers and 'walkways' that you can see through to what's underneath. Also stairs with no backs to them, and bridges that 'move'
I'm the same Daniela. The stairs at Birmingham airport make me nervous.

daniela i am slightly fearful of those bridges also, but would walk over it with some trepidiation!!!
salla...only takes me 5mins in the car.......bit of a chat....then 5mins back.
There is a footbridge here over the river (NoMercy will know which one I mean), and if you are on it and someone runs across the bridge it bounces! literally! It's quite scary. I'm there clinging to the side and wimpering.............lol.
Yes...........I had Agoraphobia for 4 years......couldnt even get out of the house..............I even got married at home........caused by stress..............all ok now ..thank god
a phobia is an irrational fear. sometimes it cant be explained why someone is scard of that certain thing
Are you talking about the 'Vicky' bridge, Dani?

I jumped off the Greyfriars Bridge when I was 15!!!
