I hope it's of some use to you, but since most brain tumours are found in patients over 70, treatment and recovery depends on the type of tumour, and whether it's primary or secondary. Some tumours can be operated on whilst the patient's awake, and they can sometimes leave hospital very quickly afterwards because the treatment's less invasive. best of luck to your dad.
