How soon should I be able to get a self assessment form from the tax office? Last year I got one in late April cos they said they were not pronted, and by the end of May the person I did the return fopr had got the money back they were owed., why can't I get a form before 6th April and hand it in on the 6th April?

Has anyone any ideas on this please cos I am getting nowhere!

Tax returns can't be printed until after the budget, which is on March 12 this year. HMRC then have to print millions of pages... You should be able to complete and submit the form on line from 6 April.
