Tonsillectomy

Hiya,
Just wanted a little bit more advice regarding a tonsillectomy.
Firstly, just want to say a huge thank you for everyone that gave me advice before... what you said really helped me!!!!
I understand that everyone is different, but just wanted to gain a rough idea....it'll be 2 weeks on Friday and I'm still in pain, can still really only eat 'sloppy food'... although I can eat other food, it just really hurts during and more so afterwards....very sore!
How long it is before it stops hurting?
Should I be eating toast (like everyone keeps telling me to... not that they've been through a tonsillectomy)?
When can I go back to the gym? I normally go 3/4 times a week and its doing my head in not going!
I can't yawn as it is unbearable pain - is this normal?
Any other advice?
