i read in the daily mail earlier this week that people claim that wd40 helps to soothe aching joints, so much so the manufacturers have issued a disclaimer.
is april 1st early or do they believe in it, or is it a placebo effect
i have bad joint pains in arms, shoulders and knees due to 30 yrs of work and sports and i will give anything a go if it helps to relieve the aches

Did it say if you rub it in, or take it intraveously?.

I have trouble with my Knee joints, and find Cod Liver Oil capsules work just fine.
OMG thats just silly HOWEVER my OH knows someone that does actually uses it for such reasons!!!! His wife moans that it smells like hell!

Your best off getting some GLUCOSAMINE SULPHATE, I have a problem knee and the specialist at the hospital told me this is the best thing for joints.
Try taking at least 1000mg of it daily and you will notice the difference after about 6 weeks but stick with it is really does work wonders.
WD40 beneifical on human joints? It's a big wind-up. It may be a placebo effect, but come on! Those people really might think that eating fast food and taking no exercise will help you loose 2 stones in a day!
As previous posts say, Cold Liver Oil, and Glucosamine Sulphate are more beneficial.
No - using WD40 for arthritic joints ISN'T a wind up. I know someone who used a small amount of it on their knee, and weeks later, the pain still hasn't come back. Cod liver oil tabs were onced deemed alright, but it now transpires that the livers of cod contain toxins - which are then passed onto YOU. Glucosamine and additives can work, I believe, but often have a placebo effect. Unfortunately for people with arthritic knees or hips, replacements are often the only answer.
