i have its been a few weeks now!!
so i'm all ready and very happy about it
Nope
bring it on!!
Not a chance. The bad won't encourage people to quit smoking. it will just encourage them to smoke outside!
Giving up in readiness for arrival of little OBonio #2. July 1st is probably going to make me stop sooner. Also, one of the main reasons I go to the pub is to have a nice relaxing pint and a ciggy. Not being able to will also stop my frequest visits to the pub. Double whammy... and less tax to this thieving government :o).
I have never smoked
Its a very hard habit to give up, a bit like taking a milk bottle away from a baby, but in time, smokers will realize it was for their own good and most quitters don't complain too much once life gets back to normal......
Why...what`s happening on 1st July?
I know its bad,I really want to stop ( no will power and a coward) and its wrong to smoke where others are, but Im already planning where, when and how to have a drag come July. Ok you can all pick on me now and tell me what a fool I am
You dress in drag too BJ, wow a gal of many talants then eh?

Think i'm worse than you anyway BJ, all the ban is doing is making me dig my heels in and continue smoking, I enjoy it dammit, not being told I CAN'T do it.

Yes, I'm stubborn:P
Obonio i do hope you are a bloke? ; )
I havent had a cigarette since then end of March. But it had nothing to do with the ban starting july 1st. I did because I wanted to do it for me and my daughter :)

Anyone got a light? j/k lol
Actually afer the day I've been having, I could really do with one right now!
I gave up 2 years ago in August, I cant honestly say that I feel any fitter or healthier though but im sure its best in the long run!! especially on the wallet, I smoked 40-50 a day!!
Yes, CP, I'm a bloke :oP Though my darling little OBonio #1 pointed at me beer belly the other day and proudly announced 'baby'. Mrs OBonio was most amused :o/
Boo

At least your not scared to speak up darlin so I will join you, I enjoy my cigs too and no I will not give up until I want to.

(pmsl "drag")
xx

Yeah Psychick, did you not do it because you found love and it costs loads of money, tastes foul and messes up health?

;o)
I gave up smoking 4 years ago and feel so much better for it but i will never criticize anyone who chooses, yes, chooses to smoke and i will also defend their right to do just that. I have to say, i feel sorry for the smokers who can no longer enjoy a ciggie with a pint (probably the most enjoyable smoke too) Saying that, i will be more than happy not to come home stinking of stale smoke but i could live with that to be honest, it hardly ruined my night out! A minor inconvienience. This ban makes me all the happier that i gave it up though!
I live in Wales so already experience the ban. It`s not made any difference to me me whatsover. I DO NOT WANT to give up smoking.
I am so glad that me and the g/f both gave it up 18 months ago
Not quite cockney_si, althought it did help to have someone loving and supportive behind me........even if that person did take my cigs away from me!!! lol
