A Channel Five documentary depicts the story of a wife with a fiery character who handed all control over to her husband to 'save her marriage'. The furious rows ceased to give way for her new found purpose � to win back her husband's affections. The idea of 'surrendered' wives comes from a book written by Laura Doyle. She writes about allowing the husband's to make all� decisions, never saying 'no' to sex and wives changing themselves - never their man. What do you think about the idea of a submissive wife � would it be heaven or hell? As a wife could you handle the husband having the last say on everything? As a husband would you relish in having complete control?

As another stubbornly independent single woman I think I would struggle with this. I'm sure i'm not the easiest person to live with but I am a rational thinker and happy to admit when I'm wrong.
I don't think I could ever have a traditional marriage anyway. I'd still quite like my own bed and maybe a big house with my own 'wing' so I don't have to see my husband for a few days. Hahahaha!

Hope you have a fantastic day sweetie, I got married just over a year ago and the day just wasn't long enough. Take every single moment in because the day will go so so so so quickly, soon it will be over and you'll never get it back and wished you had remembered more. Savour everything and make sure you and your new hubby spend time together, and don't get dragged off seperately! I'll keep my fingers crossed the sun shines :-)
As for a submissive wife - I think my hubby would be scared (and bored) if I did as I was told. I think it makes for a healthier relationship when everything is 50/50. Plus, he's next to sodding useless as far as being decisive goes and can barely decide what colour socks to wear in the morning so we'd never get anything done!

I wholeheartedly believe women should be obedient to their husbands. That does not fmean or one minute I accept ever hitting a wife, raping a wife or being unfaithful.
Women are naturally submissive. Evolution and natural selection has always made the strong survive. Men are naturally stronger. We have larger brains and are genetically better at making decisions.
The world could populate itself with just one man (i.e 250,000 live little tadpoles every day yet birds lay one egg a month, if they're lucky and not too old.
So in all wives should be submissive in the marriage. I would never own them however, like muslims do. They will be free to do whatever they want as long as my needs are catered for. As a man who leads a simple life, I would be happy with a shepherds pie, a single malt poured when I ask and a bunk up three time a week.
She can have as many coffee mornings, shopping sprees, mothers meetings, tupperwear parties, and salon treatments she wants.
