my mini lop buck bites

i have just purchased a 1 year old mini lop buck who appears very friendly and i was told by his previous owner he never bit. when i pick him up he bites and he bit my husband badly the other day. he has not been castrated and i think he has been used mainly for breeding. any help please?

Don't pick him up.
i agree with lankeela, and if he has been used for breeding i think your only option would be castration im afraid.
We've a neighbour with a delightful West Highland Terrier - one of the friendliest dog you'd ever meet. Just don't try to pick him up. You'd lose a hand. Some dogs just don't like it.
