If you found out that your mum wanted an abortion whilst pregnant with you or after you were born
1. Would you resent her?
2. How do you think you would feel about having been robbed of a potential brother or sister?

Ben one more question....

is ur real name David PLatt and do you live on Coronation Street....?
I think a termination probably crosses most womens minds at some point. but like most people have said it depends on the circumstances.

Im 21, and a mum of one already, and recently got pregnant and seriously had to think about weather or not i really wanted to have another baby. The father wasnt interested at all and at the time i was still living at home with my mum, so the only option i could see for me was to have a termination.

Ummmm1....... sorry, u didnt no this did you! ;0

Sorry nat i dont watch coronation street any more. I didnt know he was still in it. i thought he went off with that fit nurse.
No I didn't and now I have tears in my eyes xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ahhh ummmm, your just a big softy really......
As it happens the pregnancy wasnt meant to be anyway, so i didnt have to go through with the termination, but im not sure which one would have been worse!.

Oh and everyone has a softer side! :o)
I think making the decision would have been worse....

You know me curly....soft as sh$t

I will bell you later purple haze, I'm off to brace the wind and pick my little cherubs up from school
I dont think any women WANTS to have an abortion, some women just find themselves in a situation whereby it may not be possible to proceed with the pregnancy for some reason(s). I think until someone finds themselves in this sort of situation nobody is able to comment or judge on how they would feel or deal with it. No-one takes having an abortion lightly and it can leave emotional scares and guilt for years to come. No, i havent had an abortion myself, I did consider it when I found out I was pregnant in a relationship that I felt wasnt going to last. The relationship didnt last but I went ahead and had the baby and I love her to bits but Im not going to feel guilty about deciding on a choice that would not only affect me, but the unborn child and its siblings.
a little off question but, it does not matter to me if someone wants an abortion, i'm sure they would have thought about it long and hard, what they decide to do, does not affect me , us here or the man in the street, it affects them, and the decision, whether anyone thinks its wrong or right, is theirs and theirs alone, it is their choice they decide
your absolutely right Curlylfim! :)

Hmmm, i disagree. if i had a girlfriend (god help her) and i got pregnant (god help the rest of you), i would like a say on whether or not to have the child...

*got her :)
thats the sign of a responsible man Mr ben, but not all guys are like that and thats another thing to consider when a woman gets pregnant. Can she cope without a partner, will the partner help with the cost of his childs upbringing if things fail etc etc.
Even with a loving partner and a planned pregnancy it can all be very daunting. I realised that when pregnant at 32, loving partner, well paid jobs, own homes and yet I was still scared about the whole thing, not to the point of considering an abortion but still concerned about being a mum.
My Divorce came through today, I am now freeeeeeeeee!!!
your right mrben, its just my bad english, i meant the answer as "their" being both of them, if indeed the man is interested

ps, congratulations ratters............................
Mr Ben, I believe that people do the best job they can in any given set of circumstances. I am not a poke the bear with a stick kind of Aber - I am genuinely intrigued to what extreme would you like your opinion to be taken into account ... ( I do agree with you to a point by the way! ) but if the girl does not want to have a child would you be prepared to be the lone parent of your child for example?

If it was my child sense4all??
Definately.I wouldnt even need to think about it for too long...
It is a moral and emotional minefield in the meantime though . If any of my kids wanted to keep a baby, we would help and support them ... and that is why I ask them not to sleep with people that are shallow nutters - we will all be tied to them for life. lol.
I still think that you have to trust that people reach the appropriate decision for them at the time, because it is such a tough one to arrive at in the first place.
