Advice for my Father who has only 20% of his pancreas left.

Can anyone tell me if coffee should be avoided by someone with pancreatitis? Thanks.

coffee is meant to be avoided altogether beause it's meant to be really bad for you. And tea.

i wouldnt think having 20% of your pancreas left would make a difference though.........
iT DEPENDS WHAT THE CAUSE OF THE PANCREATITIS IS TOO....EITHER WAY DEFO AVOID ALCOHOL, HIGH FAt food (gallstones) and scorpion bites(!)
If he only has 20% of his pancreas left, I think its more than just coffee who should be avoided...

give nhs direct a call.
