Feeling really fed up. Today was informed that I didnt get the job I was interviewed for last week. Didnt think I would feel so bad about it. Was really hoping for this job. Anyone got something good to tell me about their day to cheer me up?

Thanks Kaz, I failed because I had no previous experience of diversity (racial, religion etc) in the workplace. I have never come across it, so it was a very hard question for me to answer in the interview. The thing is , my typing skills which were essential to the job, I was told were excellent. But I failed in the other point. What a bummer. I felt so positive. Now I feel so flat.

Thank you for your offer of advice xx

I had an nice couple of hours out and about in the Harley Street area today. The people on the tube were nice, the sun shone, I arrived in good time, no delays, squeezed in a little bit of bonus browsing time in a wine shop, lovely knowledgable staff. Arrived at consulting rooms offered drink, appointment started bang on time, Doc lovely, treatment in a couple of weeks .... no hassle. When I got home the flooring guy had finished his job early and had been to price up while I was out! No hanging about wondering will he - won't he turn up. Wanna swop? I have enough positive energy to spare you some rays , they are winging their way through cyberspace to you!

Thanks sense, Seems you have a lot to cope with. I dont know what treatment you are having to deal with, but I hope it all goes well for you. And my problem is probably very pathetic in comparison.

But you know how it goes. Thanks for the positive energy. And I hope all goes well for you xx

Just read that the interview low point was diversity ( this is a high scorer in Mr Sense's Buzz word Bingo games ) I spent several years b.k. (before kids) working in recruitment. Swot up on diversity, the person who has been sucessful at the moment, may not - for lots of reasons - be able to take up the post. It happens a lot more than you might think! You could have pulled up the AB news section to prove where you were going to draw your diversity inspiration from ( kidding) lol. It's a loss when things don't occur exactly as we'd like. I have to say however ,that usually I find that, whenever this happens there is usually a different opportunity loitering out there on the horizon that you just aren't aware of yet. Treatment nothing too serious - just that's where the specialists are! Hubby suggested a Labotomy from the safety of New York ..... but he won't be there for ever ! Just off to food and drink for the recipe to make "Kenno-meat Pie"

Last week, went to the blood donors session, and it was absolutely packed at the end of the day, which is unusual. Turned out one of the donors was having her 18th birthday, and instead of presents, had asked her friends to become blood donors. It was really sweet, they were going to the beds in twos, and one was reassuring the other while they made their first ever donation. 15 new donors were recruited, and hopefully, they'll continue giving. Warmed my heart.
Not to worry pal. I am sure you'll get something better than what you missed soon. Keep your head up. Maintain your confidence. You're still priceless. It is well with you.
