Day Two, Exhausted But Good

Only managed get 4 hours sleep despite been given 20 mill of valium before bed.

Woke at 5 and made a cuppa. A few days ago I would wake at 5 and swig vodka.

Just had a cocktail of meds and waiting for breakfast.

See what the day brings...

Keep it up mate but be aware that Valium is highly addictive so keep off that if you can or you'll swap one addiction for another. Don't give up on it, these first few days are key.

TTT., its on a reduction programe over a week. Had quiet a lot yesterday because I was quiet ill from withdrawal,

Nausea, sweating, trembling ete.

Had some more this morning but will be reduced from yesterday and through the week.

Don't want swap one dependency for another...

Yeah it's bound to be a tough few days. This time next week you should be feeling a lot better. If you can get an amazon delivery get that book by Keith Chegwin I recomended yesterday should inspire you.

It's not rehab as such, justa quick detox but yeah there is some aftercare.

Valium is carefully monitored by medics.  They won't let you get edited.  I take valium as advised.  Diazapam/valium is a  very useful drug properly monitored.  So don't worry about it Nailed it.  They won't let you get addicted!

Not putting any pressure on you here Nailers. I'm sure you can do enough of that yourself. But just think of how chuffed you're going to feel when you actually start to crack this, however small the steps.

Had valium just before dinner so pretty chilled and just spent half hour in a group general knowledge quz.

Good to just start feeling normal again after all this time isolating with just alcohol. 

One of the other contestants/patients is a heroin addict but he was so sharp and knowledgeable he could win the chase on his own. Goes to show addiction is no repector of persons.

Got a therepy group soon.
