By 'weed' do you mean dried cannabis leaves/buds?

I enjoyed that (including home-grown) for decades and when I decided to stop, I simply stopped. I increased my alcohol intake a bit, but didn't have any physical symptoms from lack of cannabis. In those days it was easier to stop smoking dope than tobacco or alcohol.

The only experience I have of physical addiction is tobacco and I now use nicotine pouches (on a very low dose).

I don't know how you will settle down. All I can advise is, be brave and determined to change your life for the better.

The devotees of the FBWD tell me it's non adictive.

But marajuana isn't in itself addictive. If you have been smoking it with tobacco, that's addictive.

Or are you talking about something else?

if it's non addictive why does the OP need detox?

Detox seems to be a rite of passage for the efete.

Weed is not *physically* addictive like alcohol or heroin can be.

But can be *psychologically* addictive like gambling or porn.

My son was 'addicted' to weed for years but got clean when his GF got pregnant. (and has remained so)

Physically or psychological its still an addiction.
