Thank you. I shall make enquiries tomorrow ,as this cold or flu is not getting any better.. perhaps my friend and neighbour best collect for me in case I am positive.
I think you can get them at Tesco for £2 each so I imagine most supermarkets and Chemists will have them.
They were free to over 70s and vulnerable. Has this stopped?
Probably...just to stop folks from testing.
No...I'm not a cynic. Never!
I was in our local pharmacy this afternoon and there were single packs or a pack of four tests on the shelves. I think the single ones were about £2 each.
Lottie, if you are over 70 and vulnerable, you should have received a letter with free test kits and they will replace them free of charge when you need more, but I'm not sure if this might be if you are on benefits or not.
It hasn't stopped as one of my neighbours got some in the post today.
To check eligibility for free Covid testing kits, click 'Start now' here:
https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests(Even if you're eligible though, you'll still have to wait for your kits to arrive in the post).

As has been said though, almost every pharmacy sells them for around £2 each, including Boots

Why? Just stop testing.
Barsel, I've only become extremely vulnerable since November because Sepsis ruins the immune system - so no letter. I think those letters stopped a long time ago. The last lot of tests we got were free because of our age. That was in the summer when we were visiting care homes.
Because I don’t want to be that irresponsible person Dave50
And Dave I will continue testing if I become ill for my reason above. And so will my husband to protect me.
What you gonna do when you do the test and get a positive or negative result ?
Lottie, I'm afraid I don't know who you could contact about it.
My neighbour is 92 yrs old and has COPD, but I don't know where her test kits come from.
Have a look at the links that Chris has put on, there might be something there.
Bazile, my neighbour I've just mentioned had a letter to say if she gets Covid to let them know, (I don't know who them are) but they said they would be able to help her, but she doesn't know how they can help her.
You stay in of course Baz, Mr B doesn’t know it yet but in the spare room tonight
In my case I would contact my GP because it could trigger Sepsis again if I ended up with any infection. I was at deaths door only a couple of months ago.
