Every time someone gets me the least bit irritated, like breaking a promise or disappointing me in some way, I always feel the need to cut them off. I don’t tell them what they did wrong, I just stop talking to them and ignore them. I have lost so many friends because of this. I know this is wrong but I just don’t know how to stop it. I know I’ve hurt people by doing this, but for some reason I just don’t care. Is there something wrong with me?

Google 'rejection sensitive dysphoria'. It's not a 'condition', per se, but often a symptom of mild ADHD, which can often go undetected in adults.
There seems to be a 'condition' now to explain anything.
A good example buenchico of 'i can't help it... its not me it's my condition'?

At least you recognise your pattern of behaviour and can, with time and effort, learn to modify how you react to other people (if you want to). Some people would react as you do then blame the other person.
You have done nothing wrong. If someone has done something wrong then they should not be surprised by your reaction to them.
Do you regret losing them as friends. If not then just forget it. If you do regret it then it's in your hands.... think what you can say or how to act diffrent next time
I kind of think that the older you get, subconsciously you realise you have less time ahead, and are less able to cope with other peoples nonsense.

If they let you down, it is much more of an effort to forgive and go back to them. Easier to walk away.

This will result in you having no friends though, so if that is okay with you – go ahead. But if it concerns you, maybe give that Friend a little break, try to forgive them for being human, and then give them another go. Maybe three strikes and then walk away as a compromise?
