If it does it wont be a very protracted affair, it will go like this; the first to attack will send a devastating nuke & will receive a more devastating attack in return, - end of.
Don't you just love a nice cheerful post as you're going off to bed for the night!

Just read 'On the Beach' by Nevil Shute (again!)...makes you think!
One of the things I remember about that book is that even on the impending doomsday, golfers still went out to play.

I shall be playing later on today, but the two events are not linked :0)
There is a mantra in computing that if something can happen - however unlikely - it eventually will. I wouldn't rule out a nuclear conflict in my lifetime.

If reports are true that he is medically sick, (we know of his other sickening ways) then he see's it that he's got nothing to lose. An ageing sick mind can be very dangerous for someone in his position.

He didn't look in great health this morning on the news. He normally has good posture when sitting in a chair, this morning he appeared to be slumped in such, when congratulating one of his slaughter men.
The best commentator I have seen of all the reporting of the war is military expert, Professor Michael Clarke, who appears now & then on Sky News. (google it for videos)

He said the great fault with the Russian Army is a lack of effective NCOs. The generals are largely incompetent drunks out for whatever they can make & put there by Putin. Between them & the soldiers creating the mayhem, the NCO structure is very poor, a state which allows them to run wild & out of control.

Whereas in the British Army for example there is a very tight structure of command; https://www.army.mod.uk/who-we-are/our-people/ranks/
