Shooting the proverbial with my brother-in-law this afternoon he mentioned that a while after recovering from COVID he developed a pain/ache across his shoulders to which I replied 'me too'.
It doesn't seem to respond to stretching or paracetamol.

Is this a non-headline COVID hangover or a coincidence we mused?

Anybody else, or are we just getting old? :-)

I've got similar Douglas. It's a familiar sort of ache, I haven't had Covid, and I just dismiss it as old man's stuff. But it has been there since my 4th jab. (Makes you think, though!)
If the pair of you were chewing the cud could it be indigestion?
front or back?
Question Author
Definitely shoulders, davebro.
you said ACROSS the shoulder - across the front or across the back?
front would be maybe a chest problem - back, dunno.
Question Author
Just looked at a shoulder diagram and see where my jest has gone awry, across the back, like wearing a yoke.

It's no biggie, just annoying.
Coincidence
Get it checked out with your gp,Douglas. Tell him nothing touches it.

Sadly my GP only seems to be in for heart attacks and coffee deliveries these days.

I'll keep it a while longer and see if I can shrug it off as it were.
Oh dear, that's not good, Douglas. Strange your brother has same symptoms. Hope you can shrug it off soon. :-)
Still , you've got each others shoulders to cry on ;-)

Who knows? Nobody knows at this stage, not even the obligatory AB websites can answer that question.
I have no idea, but my gut feeling is that it is musculoskeletal due to getting old.

Forget, stretching and Paracetamol and take Ibuprofen 400mgs as and when necessary.

Give it a couple of weeks and if your not happy, then see your GP.

I've had occasional stuff like this since I was a teenager and fortunately it doesn't seem to become more frequent or painful as I age. I just happen to have it now and presume it'll go in a day or two.
Douglas; could it be a result of kickback when you were shooting the proverbial?
Question Author
You could have something there, Atheist.
If you do a search for ‘your COVID recovery nhs’ you’ll find lots of information about things you may experience a fair while after you’ve recovered from even a mild dose of COVID, shoulder pain among them.

Just getting old. Seriously I have this because, I think, I am basically weaker because of ill health. Shoulders and neck ache a lot. (And old age hasn't helped!).
