Hi everyone - a new week, so a new thread. My original info was here - https://tinyurl.com/2p87dttu & the main thread is here - https://tinyurl.com/2s4zyf4u

No visit today, but I've had two lovely chats with Lynne & she's in pretty good spirits & we've had a laugh.

She had a colonoscopy today (no results yet, obviously) & even though it wasn't as bad as she had thought it might be, it has left her exhausted. Having had nothing to eat so far today hasn't helped that & she's looking forward to her meal soon. Her fractured shoulder is a little easier, & though both her arms are sore, she's not in too much pain.

Once again, I thank you all for your continued interest in Lynne's progress & for all of your kindness & good wishes :-))

Thanks for the update, I'm pleased she's in good spirits. Sending best wishes and hoping she's soon back with her AB family.
I'm really sorry that Mamya's going through so much. Wish her well from us both and hugs to you too...x
Glad that Mamya is in good spirits & having a laugh. Always a good sign!
I bet she's relieved to have got colonoscopy out of the way. Not nice but not as bad as one imagines. I've had it done, so I know :-)
Hope she can enjoy her much awaited dinner and continue to feel better very soon. Thanks for another appreciated update, LiK x
LiK, Tell her to hurry up and get home. I'm still on zero points on the KM quiz and I need to copy her answers. ;-)
Sop glad that she's a bit more comfortable and is in good spirits. :)
She must be in a bad way if she is looking forward to hospital food. :-)

I hope that after all the prodding and poking they can do something to make her feel better. Look after yourself too, LiK, worrying about someone you care for can wear you down. xx
pleased to hear mamy's in pretty good spirits, get well soon xx
Bless her. Thanks for the update L-i-K and please again pass on my well wishes xx

Evening all - we weren't able to visit Lynne today, but having spoken with her, she's glad because she's been so very tired. They're looking to do another x-ray of her fractured shoulder, not sure when yet. The physio team helped her up for a walk across the ward which pleased her no end.

She's still in quite good spirits, we're having a laugh when we talk & hopefully we'll be able to get to see her tomorrow afternoon when we'll try to find out if any of her test results are back.

Thanks again to all of you :-)
Thanks LiK.
Hope all goes well with x ray tomorrow and there's improvement.
Pass on my warm wishes to Mamya tomorrow. X
Gosh, Mamya's having it rough. Hope things get sorted very soon and she can pick up well.

Thanks LiK - hope you are looking after yourself too.
LIK. Is the ward closed to visitors?
Visitors are so important for patients morale.
Hopefully some results for lynne soon .

Anne - yes, the ward's closed, we take a wheelchair to the doors & the nurses bring Lynne to us.

Cheers Cap'n, I won't deny it's tough, but am ok :-)
Question Author
Evening all - we had a lovely 90-ish minute visit with Lynne today. Wheeled her down to the restaurant for a cappuccino, then outside where she thoroughly enjoyed the sun & breeze.

They haven't done a further x-ray of her shoulder yet, but it seems that surgery might be required. With that & as the different medical teams won't be coordinating their results until Monday, she's a bit fed-up but we still managed a good laugh & we left her a little more cheerful & ready for a nap, followed by tea - they won't have it up here that it's "dinner"...

Thank you all again :-) x
Thanks for the cheerful news LiK. Tell her (again!) that we're thinking of her. :)
