What Do You Do To Cheer Yourself Up?

If I'm feeling down, I tend to buy jewellery that I don't need.
Last night I went online and bought 7 pairs of earrings and 3 necklaces!
A few weeks ago I bought 4 pairs of earrings and I've already got more earrings than you can throw a stick at.
It's only costume jewellery and not expensive, unless you add it all up!.

Though I try to stick to things that don't do too much damage.

I should really sell some jewellery as I used to buy loads of 50s-60s collectable pieces, plus lots of other stuff. But some are so pretty/unusual so I display some.

Since I got my ears repierced (sp) - am looking out for my earrings - found one batch and nothing takes my fancy - I know I have another couple of batches and want to peruse them to see if I like any of them - if not I'm treating myself to like a small drop of diamond/costume jewllery - but I love loads of prisms coming from them. I know Swargtkosvski (sp LOL) do them but our Swar shop has left Belfast and I would like to see what I'm buying.

Naomi, I never watch TV during the day, but I am going to this afternoon.
It's late at night when I can't sleep and I go online and buy stuff when I'm half asleep sometimes.

Hi Barsel, I go to the garden centre and buy plants I don't need lol! Then I have to squeeze them into the garden.

I used to go for a drive in the countryside. Not so much now, though I did get petrol 2 days ago.

Barsel, I don’t watch television during the day either except perhaps The Daily Politics or similar if I’m ironing. If I’m down in the dumps for any reason Black Adder et al does the truck. Retail therapy does nothing for me whatsoever - ever. I take little pleasure in shopping.

APG I have no interest in gardens, artificial flowers and grass is what I have. I can hear you gasp.:-)

Naomi, I don't like any kind of physical shopping, but I love shopping online and if I buy something I don't like when I see it, i give it away to someone else.
Choux sounds good. I live in Manchester and have no intention of driving round here at night. :-)

Naomi - you say Black Adder - I never watched it in its day but am watching The Golden Girls for well over 30 years now and I never tire of it.

Have it on TV at night and like I really laugh out loud, cos the script, costumes, timing, innuendoes, comedy was just magic and you get it all in a half hour script. I will always love them.

So as Barsel says I will get my new earrings, put them on when going to bed and watch Golden Girls - they do make me really happy.

Last night there were 10 famous variety of scenes and every single one of them were fabulous. I do have a massive box set of them for DVDs but now I can watch them on YouTube. - sorry for being so verbose LOL

Oh...APG reminded me of plants. Indoor for me. I have about 125 houseplants...in every room. Now I take cuttings and try to give them away!

Rewatch stuff I love like The Tudors, Friends, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Pride and Prejudice, Star Wars, LOTR and GoT. Also, in the last 12 months I've been watching reaction videos on YouTube.

And build lego....I'm addicted to lego!
