My neighbours massive Leylandii trees that tower to the sky and across over my decking , I was happily sitting outside reading my Kindle when two fat wood pigeons are in and out of them making a racket and sh*****g, I’ve moved my lounger to the bottom corner but those trees are a house of I’ll repute for pigeons ! and birds terrify me ....HELP!
He came round a week or so ago and my husband was talking to him, he’s been quoted £700 to have them cut back, am I right in thinking this is not the time of year for him to do that, are birds nesting in there?
There are laws about Leylandii. Check them out and then speak very kindly to your neigbours initially. If they get stroppy, then point out the laws. As for the pigeons, Im afraid I can only offer psycotherapy for you to conquer your fears ;o) !
I assume the missing characters in the OP are aggin, but for my gripe they would be ittin - they perch on the edge of my bird bath facing outwards while perusing my garden, and inevitably defecate while doing so, straight into the bird bath. I clean it every day of course but it's unpleasant - why can't they do it elsewhere - not in your adjacent Leylandii of course ;-)
Pigeons amuse me. They are so clumsy and the young ones often fall of the trees. They, like pheasants, are not the most intelligent of birds, but look how they helped in the war!!!
