Had my NHS number come for my jab, and to book. Well I can't make my mind up. Why, because its only the UK who have decided to stretch the second dose past three weeks, and Pfizer have not commented on that decision ???

I think TC is saying she doesn't mind that. Problem is of course, when the back of the queue comes round, it might STILL be the Pfizer jab and there might STILL be a 12 week wait
Or you might have caught it and be dead.
Glad you have made your mind up - you can relax and wait now.

Stay safe.

sherrardk 14.48, You and a few others seem obsessed with this queue business, its almost like , what a naughty person not going for the jab, smack ones bottom and send them to the back of the class.

I have a valid NHS number to receive my jab, no where on that invitation does it have a date on it saying that the invitation expires / becomes void. So in actual fact other people are having theirs in front of me. I don't have a problem with that, but it seems to be a problem for you.

If I choose to hold fire that's my decision, and whatever transpires from that decision is what I will accept.
The invitation doesn't, to my knowledge, expire. As I understand it if NHS don't hear from you they will contact you once and after that leave you be BUT an invitation only lets you access the booking system, it doesn't guarantee you an appointment at the place and time of your choosing or any appointment at all in fact ...so if you wait until other younger more numerous cohorts of people are invited, you may find it much harder to get an appointment and still may have to wait for your second vaccine. but heigh ho.
// Any medication whether it be by month, injection should be followed by the manufactures instructions, not played about with. In a nutshell!!//

oh god just when you think sanity has descended someone has a spazzy. No big pharma has an eye on profit ( not surprisingly ) so it WONT go for parsimony it will go for greatest consumption no matter by whom.

If you only give children drugs which have been approved, you can rip the kids formulary ( big book of drugs) in half. 50% are unlicensed and yet little johnnie still gets his paracetamol

and other swathe is off-label - used for purposes for which there is no license - Paracetamol again.

so - - big pharma knows best - er no not really
childrens formulary
big book of drugs for ickle people and poorly bairns who are ick

sozza -

Your wrong Woof, very wrong. You just don't like the idea of me delaying my jab, But eh oh who cares, my body not Boris's or Hancocks to decide what I do with it. In a few weeks time they will have to alter the vaccine anyhow as the variants change.
//In a few weeks time they will have to alter the vaccine anyhow as the variants change//
On that basis you'll never have your jag as theres allways another variant just round the corner so you'll keep putting it off
on the contrary, I think woof has made it clear she is very happy with the idea of people not having their jabs, as she moves up the queue

13.50 bednobs, it still don't stop me booking mine as and when I'm ready. Woof seems to think that the NHS get in touch with you once, and if you don't respond , the shop is closed, that's not how it works, unless Woof has got proof/ link I haven't seen.

Bobbinwhales , who said I will keep putting it off, it takes 2/3weeks according to TV last night to alter a vaccine to fight other variants, so in lets say in a month they could well have a whole different ball to play with, but I doubt they can keep pumping all different sorts of vaccines into someone that's already had the first lot of the old one. But thats guess work on my part, and a little of gut instinct, if I'm right I'm right, if I'm wrong I'm wrong, but another two month wait for me, after 12 months is a low risk as I see it.

Not really a suprise as vaccinne expert's here had said this would normally be the case.
Hopefully for you teacake there will be something similar for Pheizer
teacake, I didn't say the shop is closed, I said that they will chase people once after the invitation and that once the vaccination is being given to younger people who are a larger percentage of the population then getting an appointment may be harder.

"If you have received a letter but not booked an appointment

You may get a phone call from the NHS Immunisation Management Service. This call will be from 0300 561 0240.

This will be a reminder to book your COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

The person you speak to will see if you need any help and support.

They will not call you to book appointments over the phone."

I had a phone call at 6pm to make my jab appointment at the local hospital which has started jabbing the vulnerable.
I’m having it Thursday afternoon, yay!
excellent vagus
I've got my letter.
Will book it tomorrow.
Too busy today, still sorting out other peoples problems.
TC, I don’t care if or when you have whichever jab. I just hope no one in the NHS has to spare even 30 seconds of their time on accommodating you and your wishes.
