to get a full nights sleep
I have been waking up to 5 times a night for over a month or more.

i have no problem going to sleep, its just after two hours im awake, feeling as though i was suffocating. Any physical reasons for this.

anyone else care to share their sleepless tales. and how they may have conquered them. I have spoken with doctor but she seems to
think it might be nasal drip, causing me to cough, though i don't know if that is right.
bad dreams, needing the loo all come into play as well.

My Mum used to suddenly wake up, and feeling panicky, also felt she couldn't breathe. She always put it down to anxiety. She was living on her own.

JJ it stuffs up my day time, because i am tired then. rather sleep through, wake refreshed and face the day head on. I don't mind so much being awake at 5, 6, its 3 in the morning that i can't handle.

i don't feel panicky, more that throat feels closed, sore, tongue like sandpaper. Get up to have something to drink
JJ, have you tried Melatonin? It's natural, our body makes but less of it as we age.
LB - have been pretty bad sleeper for years now and I did buy the Melatonin from Hollands&Barretts.

When I opened the bottle I nearly threw up - the smell was like smelling your excreta - I ended up throwing them out and they were dear at that time.
No heating? Gosh, it must be super well insulated to still feel warm. My flat...even with super multi layer external insulation applied several years ago, still is never comfortable. Always chilly upstairs in the winter, hot in summer. The roof has just been done...and might make a tiny bit of difference.
Can you open your windows at night? Get some fresh air in.
emmie I too don't like being awake at 3am, I just feel sorta alone and don't like the eeriness, but I would sometimes at that time 3am can make a hot milky drink, it sorta helps me - how it does I don't know.

everyone in the small block i live in has central heating, its very very warm. No to opening window, its too noisy. live on main road, and even at night can hear the traffic.

i might go with sleep aponea, if doc suggests sleep clinic would do it.
I also have a black blind which I love and also wear a mask which seems to calm me down. I have been wearing masks for years and when some of my friends and siblings tried them - they felt suffocated. No matter where I go when I used to travel the mask was the first thing I packed.

I think you are going to have to ask Timothy Mallett for a loan of his mallet and give yourself a right plonk - then you will go right out LOL
JJ I have never had any smell coming from them. Try again, they work for many on here. Biovea is where I get mine.
Em, have you read my post @ 18.16?
Question Author
yes.

i won't post on this again. I will seek out gp and see if she can recommend a sleep clinic. I think that i have replied to all, thanks
LB - I have tried going to Biovea.co.uk but it tells me it is a deceptive site. Could you provide me with a link of where you get yours. Thanks
Here you go JJ. These are 2mg, I use 1mg and occasionally 2mg. Please don't sniff them, just take them LOL.
Well, most appear to be out of stock except the last one. You can either get that or click on the one you want and wait until they notify they're in stock again. What a pain. Or you could try elsewhere. Good luck I do hope they work for you as they don't work for everybody.
