Apparently I've cancelled my TV license direct debit so need to set one up again. Funnily enough when I checked it went through a couple of weeks ago.

i keep on getting those messages on my e mail, under spam, so they are instantly deleted..
I received a similar email today. It said that my TV License (note the American spelling) could not be automatically renewed, so I was invited to set up a new Direct Debit. This is an obvious scam, because:
1. I am over 75, so I don't have to pay for a licence.
2. Dates on the email are written in the American style [3/13/2020], instead of the British style [31 May 2020].
3. There is a spelling mistake in the email [noy instead of not].
