Got worse since. Just deciding whether to call ambulance.
Melds not working.
Think need oxygen.

What is this unique draw / pull that AB has , that causes someone in distress and in an emergency , to first come on here to announce it , rather than call the emergency services ?

Theland was already on the site and posting, often when we are distressed logic goes out of the window.

Hopefully he's safe and getting the help he needs.

I had similar problem in the middle of the night.Larer decided I had a heart attack. I felt I needed oxygen and when the paramedics gave me the mask it felt worse.A few squirts under the tongue of Glyceryl Trinitate seemed to alleviate the breathing for some reason.I always have the stuff on me now. There is a form of angina...not uncommon....that manifests itself not by pain, but by shortness of breath which is of course helped by coronary vasodilators e.g GTN.

Sqad, any advice for someone with stage 3 COPD when inhalers do not give relief.

danny.....not my area of expertise and you probably know more about COPD than i do, however, from what you say, you will already have given up smoking and if inhalers are not working, then one has to think in terms of steroids or /and antibiotic, a decision which can only be made by a Chest Physician.
I would guess from your posts that you already have oxygen on tap in the home.

Anne, no, I have never heard of one. My main contact is with my GP who is very good.

If you are referring to the same type of thing I have done to breathing rehab courses, but that was before I became housebound.
