I was wondering whether you ever hesitate before writing anything on AB? Are there certain things you would post, but certain things you wouldn't?

Yes, I do. I think, am I saying something anyone wants to hear! or am I being rude.
Absolutely!
I often know that if I post a question or statement about my beliefs, it often opens the floodgates and criticism comes flooding out.
But hey ho! Go for it. You are not alone having second thoughts.
Sometimes I just have to sit on my hands.
Never hesitate (he who hesitates is lost sqad circa 21 C)

I let the Mods earn their money.
Not really. I do try to word it as I mean it, but that doesn't always go well. There is a definite skill in written communication, face to face is much easier.
I've deleted lots over the years before hitting answer now, the adrenaline hit's not worth it.
I wouldn't post serious medical things or sympathy nets, too reserved.
I probably only post half the things I initially type out. Self moderation if you like but I try not to cause offence
Scarlett - You must have had a doubt or two about a specific subject or a particular question in mind.
What was it? Oh come on! Satisfy my curiosity.
I never hesitate before I write anything - never have, and it probably shows!
I don't really think about it. Just recently I have been tempted to have more of a go when I thought someone was being really unpleasant but then the person concerned always posts that way so nothing I say will make a difference. Mostly I am on here when I am bored so mostly looking to be amused. Probably never going to give good advice.
Same as Rowan, I type something out have a re-read and know it could be just a tad too far... so delete it.

In person I might just say it... but could be misinterpreted when written down.

Theland- I never hesitate writing answers! Just questions. Often I REALLY could do with the advice of the ABers. But there is always one person who seems to deliberately try and make me feel bad for asking the question, and often searches/cross references old questions I may have written! I have been called judgemental; basically given a good old telling off for daring to write a question- which is obviously troubling me or I wouldn't write and ask for advice. I guess it's a risk you have to take!
Being a 74 year old retired prison-warden, with a very reasonable pension plan, living alone at the Queen Elizabeth Retirement Home in Llandudno, I am very, very careful as to what I post on public forums including AB. Some people are not aware of how many personal details they reveal about them selves during during the give-and-take of purely innocent conversations on this site...So be very careful.

Thank, Jack Higgenbottom.
I, er..... um....
Canary - Who ruffled your feathers?
yeah certainly
work details are verboten as your boss can legally fire you
sligging off your boss is priddy verboten as well
ridiculing the clients - like referring to them as client-botches !
confessing to crimes before the case is heard (prosecutors have heard of the social media )
and so on

and of course there is a huge pool of people who SHOULD have thought about their posts but er didnt

Frankly my Dear ...........
Shoota is just hesitating while he ponders being face to face with Pixie....
#feeling er hesitant....
Don't hesitate! My communication will be much better :-)
The amount of times that I've composed an answer, then deleted it because I really couldn't be bothered to reply to any responses, is immense.
