While society has always divided humans in to male and female there has always been many people who don't fit in to one of those two camps.

It could be said in the same way that while there has always been male and female "gays" society would not accept them and could even send them to prison.

One of our greatest Britons, Alan Turing, who help win the second world war by designing the first computer at Bletchley Park, was arrested after the war due to being "gay". He was forced to take tablets that reduced his male testosterone, so his testicles shriveled up and he grew breasts and went impotent (this was an alternative to going to prison).

Many people are born with both male and female "private parts" or private parts that are perhaps neither.

You only have to look at the female clitoris to see it is like a small penis so during pregnancy development can take place where the private parts don't grow correctly (in the same way that other parts of the body don't grow correctly).

This can leave a persons gender rather vague when they were born but they are pushed down one path or another (registered as male or female) when it is not obvious.

Transmisogyny (sometimes trans-misogyny) is the intersection of transphobia and misogyny. Transphobia is defined as "the irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against transgender or transsexual people". Misogyny is defined as "a hatred of women".

Therefore, transmisogyny includes negative attitudes, hate, and discrimination of transgender or transsexual individuals who fall on the feminine side of the gender spectrum, particularly transgender women.

Nazis and fascism - not sure if you need an explanation for these terms. I thought they were pretty much clear.

How come plod is allowed to identify the perps as Male? Surely that is a "gender sensitive" description. They should be saying "sum people" so as not to stigmatise a set of characteristics.
