Beware...slippery Leaves

I just took a rather awkward tumble. Leg bent back under me and I was down in a flash.
Had to take the bleeding boots off so I could stand up...hobbled home in socks.
Nothing hurt...but I bet I'll have some sore bits tomorrow.

i remember my rather spectacular slip down the canal bank steps, it was icy, I slipped and bounced the rest of the way down on my butt. hurt like ***** but i bet it looked really funny

Yes leaves can be slippery. My Nan broke her hip after slipping on wet leaves.
I saw a guy once kick a heaped pile of leaves only to hear him help in agony as there was a brick hidden underneath.

Juhulaye...I'd thought of getting those a few years ago when we had extreme cold and frost. Unusual in this part of the country...we just get slimey leaves. :-(
The soreness and aches are kicking in, tomorrow will be fun. Thank goodness I'm off work. I can suffer alone.

I did that many years ago - black and blue down one keg that went over my kerbing to the rose beds above me...

However, that wasn't the real damage, come January, my shoulder seized up and needed major physio and heat treatment to unlock it.
