It was my 70th birthday 2 weeks ago. Lil pasta couldn't come down from London...other plans. I felt quite sad when told that.
Texted me on the day to wish "happy birthday".
They came down late yesterday.
No card, no pressie( not that that matters), no mention.
I feel sad and a bit at a loss...do I say something? Or stew?
They are heading back shortly.

There's no excuse for missing your birthday. She could have posted a card or sent flowers.

I can imagine you feel quite hurt and I'd feel the same.

Just jokingly ask if your birthday card got lost in the post and see what her reaction is?
pasta; It's water under the bridge, a big ask but try to forget it. Can we all try to compensate by sending you a belated greetings? I wish you the very best, good health and happiness, cheers! K.
I would do as NoM said!! It is no use fretting. Either get it out or bottle it up. With me, as my youngest son lives quite away from me and he rarely turns up on the special days, but he always come with a gift.

It's sorted:-))
I conveniently was filling out a card for a friend...
I've just been presented with a card and voucher.
I was bothered because it's not like her to forget or ignore these things. Sometimes it's the last minute, but she "does" remember.
I needed to vent a bit here...thanks for listening.
The right result, all well again - good news.x
Good:-) xx
I'm really pleased for you pasta :-)
Great x
I hate it when other people suggest the BA to the OP so I won't say BA to Woofgang.
A happy ending.

Good good :)
Happy birthday pasta. Thank dter for beautiful bouquet of red roses. When she denies sending them, says "ooops, theyre from Gerry your lover who has moved in with you" ;)
Glad its sorted x
Ignore me, hadnt seen your last post.
Stew ?
Pasta, I am glad that it all ended well.

Kid's who needs them ? but when they need you?
As Gulliver says, when they need you.....

I think Sqad, while appearing rather sour, is in a way correct: Don't expect much by way of consideration from your adult children, especially when you have passed (or are passing) 70. All you achieve is to torture yourself.
I am glad its sorted happily too.
Sqad.... I was only carrying on from your "cut the apron strings comment"
