What is the healthiest way to gain weight? I want to gain about a stone, but without it all being in fat...what exercise and food is it best to do and eat?

Well the best way is to gain muscle which can be done by a weight training program with appropriate nutrition. Easier said than done of course but any weight training guide book should help.

This may at first sound like a silly answer but a way i have discovered to gain weight is go on the slim Fast Diet but in reverse.

Have the milkshakes aswell as a meal as opposed to instead of a meal. Trust me they don't fill you up on their own like the label says.

They are actually fairly healthy too with all the right minerals and nutrients etc. Add two or three shakes a day and i think you will add approx 1000kcal a day which equates to 1lb a week in body mass.

Your body will be lucky to put on more than 1lb of lean muscle a month - even this is pretty good. I would aim to gain a stone over a year of hard exercise.
