As I posted a day ago. friend had a meal today - mine, scampi and chips I didn't finish them - that was about 3 o'clock today.

Still haven't ate anything since and still I feel like a balloon. Am a I candidate for bloatedness. Shall I make an appointment with my doctor (which I will get in 4 weeks time) - then I will be able to fly to him.

Terriby uncomfortable and am drinking water which makes more it uncomfortable.

Is that supposed to be funny?

funny and sad. don't fret nom
She's about as funny as whooping cough.
Do you have any antacids conne. ?
JJ, if you have to wait that long then yes, make an appointment to see GP.

In the meantime keep a note of what you eat and when the bloating is worse, start with bread and other carbs, cut those down first or eliminate if you can.

thanks mamy - yeah - still bloated after all these hours = but the down time is you have to wait 4 weeks for an appointment. Is it any wonder one medicates itself.
Question Author
wish could stick a pin into my belly and wait for it to go down.
Could be anything and your post IS rather short on relevant symptoms.
Yes, as mamy says, make your appointment but make sure that you are not constipated and keep off fatty and fried foods( scampi and chips !!!!) as it could be Gall stones, amongst half a dozen more conditions.
I agree with Sqad. Deep fried foods are the enemy. Eat more fresh vegetables but limit fruit, eat slowly, don't pick in between meals and never drink with food or pour drink straight on top of food.
Morning Jenny, sorry to hear you are suffering so badly with this, my light hearted reply was of course in reply to your ... " .. then I will be able to fly to him" .. which is why I included the wink at the end. I do hope you feel much better soon.
If it took me 4 weeks to get a doctors appointment I would change doctors.

2 -3 days is the most I have waited and if I say it is an emergency and explain to the receptionist then I normally get seen sooner!

And just informed by practice receptionist - they are are shutting every afternoon - can see this surgery shutting for good - God knows where I'll go now.

Haven't ate a bite today to and see if the bloatedness went down - has a little.
