Do you drink caffeine? I thought it would make no difference to me, because I always have done, but I stay awake all night if I drink it after about 3pm.
Switch off all computers an tv's at least an hour before bedtime. Read a book, but not a thriller.
I find that cuddling up to Frankie calms me down a bit and helps me sleep. He hogs the bed though - which is very annoying.

Do you use a smart phone, iPad or laptop late at night?
I find I have a lot of trouble sleeping if I take my iPad to bed. I read a book instead now.

Do you get off to sleep and then wake up in the early hours of the morning and can't get back to sleep OR do you have difficulty in getting off to sleep, but when you eventual do, then you get a good 2-3 hours?

• He is on a diet and you have to refuse him treats a dozen times a day.
• You have to get two Prednisolone tablets down his throat each day.

have similar sounds on a cd that I tried..ie rainfall..birds tweeting etc ..even a self hypnosis thing...nothing works
Poor Minty, I feel for you, insomnia is a nightmare. If you do decide to try Nytol as Sqad suggested, make sure you don't get fobbed off with the herbal one, make sure you get the otc one, which contains an antihistamine. Good luck.
